Chantelle LaFitte
Chantelle LaFitte (she/her/hers) is a partner and workplace investigator at Richards Advocacy, practicing in workplace investigations, professional regulation, and advocacy. Chantelle’s calm, thoughtful approach allows her to guide clients through complex and sensitive matters with clarity, sound judgment, and confidence.
Chantelle’s is a trained workplace investigator and acts as external, third-party investigator in matters involving allegations of harassment, discrimination, sexual misconduct, gender-based violence and fraud. Before joining Richards Advocacy, she practiced criminal and quasi-criminal litigation with a particular focus on sexual assault allegations, represented victims of crime, and conducted regulatory investigations for professional regulatory bodies across Canada. This multi-disciplinary experience gives her a unique perspective that ensures she conducts procedurally fair, neutral, trauma-informed investigations that can withstand legal scrutiny.
In addition to her investigation work, Chantelle represents regulated professionals and regulatory bodies in matters of professional discipline and regulation, including professional misconduct complaints, investigations, and disciplinary hearings. She is a seasoned advocate and has appeared at all levels of court in Ontario, and provides pragmatic, focused advice to regulatory institutions and professionals.
